Our world has been filled with much tragedy over the past week. There is the issue of undocumented children on our southern border, a raging war in the Gaza strip and the shoot down of MH17. These tragedies have riveted our attention and drained our hope in humanity. However, the WORD calls us to a different place:

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil”.
Ephesians 5:16 (King James Version)

One of Sligo’s member who is a leader in the Community Prayer ministry, and guides Sligo Elementary School Caring Card Club was moved to made a trek to several affected embassies to share a measure of Christian comfort. Her name is Dawn Reynolds. Let’s listen to Dawn as she shares her experience in ministering at these embassies.

Dawn, thank you for putting courage and action behind your words and sharing God’s comfort through your caring card ministry today.

We still have an opportunity to provide comfort. Here are the embassies’ addresses:

Embassy of Malaysia
3516 International Court NW
Washington, D.C. 20008

Embassy of the Netherlands
4200 Linnean Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20008

Embassy of Australia
1601 Massachusetts Avenue NW
Washington, D.C. 20036-2273

We can continue to send messages. The process of grief is so complicated and this one is further complicated by so many things. After it’s out of the headlines, the needs still go on.
