Children’s Ministries at Sligo looks at the whole child and seeks to provide multiple ministries that will lead children to Jesus and disciple them in their daily walk with Him.
Children’s Ministry is about developing the faith of children ages birth to fourteen. Our mission is to nurture children into a loving, serving relationship with Jesus through various ministries such as Sabbath School, Kid’s Church, Children’s Lessons, Vacation Bible School, Street Ministry, Pathfinder & Adventurer clubs.
Children’s Ministry at Sligo is led by lay members of the Children’s Ministry Council (CMC) under the leadership of the Associate Pastor for Children. The mission of Children’s Ministries leaders and teachers are to reach out to children and draw them into a loving, productive and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ and with their church and to train, resource, and support those who minister to children.

We are a multi ethnic, family oriented, loving congregation. Our church believes in the Bible and we strive to glorify God by being increasingly transformed into the likeness of Christ. We seek to grow passionate disciples of Jesus through worship of God, nurture of one another, and outreach to the world.

A church service just for kids, held quarterly, to provide them with the opportunity to worship in an age-appropriate setting. The children and youth participate in presenting the worship service, earliteens serve as helpers. Lots of music, drama and stories.
Street Ministry at Sligo is a ministry based on five foundations which present a radical example of Christianity in action. It includes puppetry, face painting, balloon sculpting, drama/mime and clowning.
This ministry trains children at a very early age to serve and minister for others specially those outside the church. The ministry enters a community and builds relationships while having fun and showing the love of Jesus in action.
Children’s Sabbath School

Education helps children build a relationship with Jesus. Every Sabbath beginning at 10 a.m. a total hour program based on the weekly Sabbath School lesson is planned for children birth to grade 8. Children are involved in active learning and participate in a variety of activities that meet their learning styles. The Sabbath School curriculum follows the Seventh-day Adventist GraceLink program, Bible-based and doctrinally specific. It focuses on the four aspects of a growing Christian experience–Grace, Worship, Community and Service.
